AgCentric received $2.0 million in Federal Community Program funds to support Central Lakes and Ridgewater Colleges in launching meat cutting and butchery programs. Federal legislators backed AgCentric’s request for Minnesota State to address Minnesota’s workforce needs. With this funding, AgCentric secured an additional $3.5 million to develop career pathways in meat cutting and butchery. Both colleges launched these new programs in the fall semester of 2022.
