MN Ag Centers of Excellence at the State Fair

AgCentric and Southern Minnesota Agricultural Center of Excellence teamed up to attend and present at the Minnesota State fair. Together they set up the FFA Chapter house attached to the CHS Miracle of Birth Center to give fair goers an agricultural experience. The experience included a lesson on bio-security, planting a soybean seed, virtual reality, agricultural career exploration and more. After fair goers complete the experience they each got an Ag Bag.

The Agricultural Centers of Excellence also had the opportunity to interact with fair goers while playing a game called ‘Two Truths and a Lie’ on the Christensen Farm Stage. During the game a Center of Excellence representative would show three pictures and have the audience select which one they think is a false representation of either GMO’s or something related to animal science and labeling.
